After 3 months & countless hours of working on the 750 conversion into my 550, I can finally say that I have :brap: It was truly a custom install (at least how I ran electrics) & I will post pics sometime after this weekend.:Banane09:

I am finishing up a 750 swap into my 550. With the added weight of reinforcement, a 750 motor, & oversized (5.5 gal) gas tank. (I may add footholds later too). Do you think that this thing may actually float if the bay fills with water in an accident. I have my doubts & the only reason I ask...

I am considering rebuilding my 550 engine or possibly upgrading to a 650. I might get an SBT motor, but am somewhat concerned about quality. Plus, I have read the old posts about what happened to guys like Pancake over at pwct & am not sure I want to support these guys with my business...

I know that there is a very similar thread about a 550/750 swap, but I have some questions. First I know that to swap from 550-650, I'll need a conversion plate, but what else is needed? Will the 550 electrics work on a 650?

I've broken two flywheel pullers today on my 94 550. Are these things threaded on? I'm really at a loss right now.:frown:

I have to split my case on the 550 to replace the crank seals. When reassembling everything, should I use rtv for where the two crank halves meet? Anyone have any more suggestions for this little project too?:thinking:
