Basically. I took one of my prototype dart hulls and glued on vxr hood seal and hood to my top deck. Tried it, got input and put that idea to a mold. So basically my "air" hull has a hood seal from a Vxr. Cheap ass, frugal, ugly, whatever ya want to call it. I really enjoy the ski...
this is what happens without a girdled head. Factory pipes lay all their weight on one side, add some hard lands and failed rolls. Granted it took some time to get that bad. But if you see the porting that's blues work. My bad on no girdle kit

Well, looks like a few reputable people out there that do porting. They typically port the exhaust exit do it unloads quick. Porting can vary from freestyle, recreational, or race.
Say for example JetManiac short block engines even port the cases to allow fuel to flow more fluid and quicker...
