Brett keep the 38s they will work fine for your setup. Yes i would go with the handling mods first scince you live near good surf! I you are on a budget shorten your stock pole and speed up your stering nozzle.Even without the lowerd bracket it will make a huge diff. My boat has 38s with mild...
