this is my first time doing engine work and i have read that 1211 is the preferred for sealing cases, gaskets, etc. Locally the only stuff icould find was a permatex gasket maker. Do i have to order it online?

Its definitely worth the work, i used polystyrene and sealed it up the best i could and there was still water that came out of the drains after riding the first time. This was also nice because i found two more leaks to seal up from listening to air rushing in while it was draining.

when i went onto wiseco.com i searched for wrist pin bearings and i came up with part # B1031. should i search for using 650 or 700 in my search?

okay... the general consensus is that i need to refoam... i was afraid of that

i have a long crack in the corner of my tray. when i push down on the area i can see down to the foam. water has seeped in. is it necessary for me to refoam or should i be ok just fiberglassing over it to reinforce the tray?

i really cannot afford to put in a new 701 right now. i am pretty good with engines and know a lot of people as well. short term i wouldnt want to spend more than 500 but next summer i should have some more cash
