Pulled the plugs and they're clean. I thought it might be a crack in one of my fuel pickups but I had the same problem running "on" and "reserve". I'm thinking bypassing the fuel selector switch then bypassing my primer in case that has gone bad to see if it makes a difference.

Replaced the check valve on the tank and filled up with fresh gas. Everything ran fine until I got back down to 1/2 tank. At this point I'm thinking the fuel selector switch could be bad. Any other ideas?

Went riding yesterday and everything was running fine. About halfway through the tank of gas my ski started hesitating when I hit the throttle. A few minutes later it just died when I pinned it. Thanks for the input everyone. Replaced the gaskets and everything ran great. I'll probably be out on Lake Michigan this weekend if anyone is heading out there.

You'll need to get the 550 coupler rethreaded to fit the 650 motor. I had it done at a local machine shop for about $20, just took in the 650 coupler and told them to make the thread pattern on the 550 match it.

I went through Matt's post and checked all gaskets that I removed when I swapped carbs. The engine runs away without the throttle cable attached so the flap is completely closed. Based on Matt's link, it sounds like there's a leakdown in my future. I did a visual check of all other gaskets...

I checked to see if the issue was air in the fuel lines from taking everything apart and didn't see any bubbles. The engine ran fine before I swapped carbs. I put the old carb back on and the engine still ran away. The only work I did between the engine running fine with the old carb and now is...

I just swapped out carbs on my 90 sn so I could replace a choke with a primer. Idle screw is turned all the way out but the engine revs like at full throttle. Is this a tuning issue or is there something wrong with the carb? I'm running a 61x/6n6 with b-pipe and Mikuni single 44.

Do you have any sets for sale now or coming up?

You're right on the price new. I couldn't remember how much I paid for it originally my bad. I only had the plate in my ski for a couple months and only rode on it twice (maybe 2 hours total). Would you be willing to pay 60 shipped?
