I figured it out, I found a good big wrench and used a breaker bar to turn the crank the opposite direction to get the rope out. All appears normal.

So I used the rope trick to tighten my flywheel back on. In this process, the nylon rope got stuck in the exhaust port, with a good chunk of rope stuck between the piston and cylinder wall... What do I need to do to fix this?

Go to home depot and buy a long metal pipe (I use a 6 foot long one) With the driveshaft in your vice, slide the pipe onto your wrench and crank it. It should come right off

Fast elements reports the dimensions as 9" x 10" x 17"

It is shaped like that to allow it to fit in hulls with a rocker. Fits fine. For mounting,I just ran 2 long straps connected to hull hooks.
