out with the chopped SN and in with the fresh new hull! the hood and top and bottom decks are a carbon/glass hybrid, maintains strength and light weight while also keeping costs down. bulk head and exhaust tube are carbon. so far the plumbing is done under the tray, just needs foam then the top...
I can say that in the 17 years I've lived here i have never seen waves this big or powerful in the bay, what I would give to be on my ski right now..... Dosnt look like much from the video but anyone in the st. Clair/anchor Bay Area knows what I'm talkin about
just as the title says... picked this thing up for $200 from a friend who had it sitting in his yard for 5 years, put a battery in it and got it to crank but no spark, swapped the coil out for a 650sx one i had laying around and got it to fire, everythings there besides a few minor things...
finally pulled it off! i was going to try a flip the same day but didn't wanna take the risk of breaking something while there's no one else around to help
Just curious because I know a lot of people who ran these but didn't know how many actually did, back in the 90s when my dad was racing he used to make his own Jetcrafts Unlumited AFMS carbs, I have a photo of someone at havasu with a sticker but didn't know how popular they were, he stopped...
so this weekend i finally got to ride the first glass prototype ski. now i haven't ridden anything besides my reinforced SN in 8 months so i didn't quite have my sea legs back, anyway the transition from the SN to the new hull was insane, not only did it feel much more buoyant but it felt a ton...
so I just built this ski and I finally got it tuned in, never tried a flip before and today was the day, I do feel like I didn't really put enough effort and force into it but like I said it only my first time and I also have NO TRIM lol first 2 times I just tested to see what would happened...
First ride on the new hull, love the way it handles and the power is awsome! havnt made any cool videos lately so i figured i would make something nice for youtube
a few months ago i bought a blowsion handlpole bracket and dual breathers for my RRP pole since i plan on it being the main air intake, my problem is that the tube are almost impossible to get into the pole and almost dont even fit, when the pole is lowered the bulge out and the seem to be...
finally decided its time for a shortened/lightened hull, picked up a beat 650SJ from a friend for $300, made it run for the rest of the warm part of the season. 3 hours in the garage and i had it down to an empty hull, ive gotten this far already, should have the back cut by or during the weekend.
got the ski a while ago from a friend, had spent some time sitting on the ground outside, handle pole was broken and "fixed", chinpad was shredded and only held on by a rubber strap, steering was loose and the ignition switch was spliced and replaced by a 550 switch. Under the hood was pretty...
