    Jetting woes.......

I just put a 46mm mikuni on my ski and it's running like crap (I need less crap and more Brap!!). The motor is freestyle ported 61x w/factory pipe and was running well with it's 44mm carb (1.5 n&s, 140H, 125L, 42 pop). Here's my 46mm setup - 2.0 n&s, 155H, 125L, 32 pop off. I had to richen...

I'm putting togther a big bore flat top 61x motor and will be running a stock 46mm carb intially. I'm looking for recommendations for initial setup for carb. I don't expect to hit it first try but I'd like to be in the ballpark. Here's what I'm putting together: 85.5 mm bore w/Pro-x flat...

Just a teaser, not done yet.......

I've been building my "Frankenstein" ski based on an FX-1 with parts sacrificed from a Kawi 1100zxi, X2, 650sx, 800sxr and even a seapoo part! So I thought what better theme for my new paint scheme (many more pics to come as the paint progresses):

Head for a big bore question??

If running a big bore (85.5mm) and running low compression (pump gas), is it acceptable to modify a stock head or is there a need to run a girdled head?? I guess I'm trying to understand what drives the need for a girdled head?

    Blowsion FX-1 pump conversion??

I know the Blowsion FX-1 144mm pump conversion has been available for a while now but I haven't seen anyone report on it. Just curious if anyone has installed one and interested in a real world report.

    Taper bored 38s......anyone got pics???

Looking for pics/info of taper bored 38s. I've bored a bunch of old school 38s (round pump) but never a set of newer 38s. I was wondering how much of the giant slug of alum at the bomb sight is removed. Anybody have a pic staring down the throat of the carb??

    FX-1 build

I've been playing with a spare FX-1 to figure out a Kawi 650 pump mod and now that I have the pump figured out, I'm working on putting it together for a test ride. Ok, so I'm a hyprocrite! Since we had a week of sh*t weather further delaying a test ride, I decided to carve out some "home...

Just a fun project you guys might dig......

Someone gave me a VXR pro a few years back and I had always wanted to make a little jet drive powered fishing boat. So, I took a sawzall to the VXR and to a 16' Carolina Skiff and mushed 'em together. I did a couple of years ago and it just occurred to me to post it here. It's kinda like a...

800 sxr motor vs 701 based motor

Assume same hull, same pump and exhaust capabilities, which motor has better potential for power utilizing stock parts (no lamey cyls, stroker cranks, etc...)? What are the Pros/Cons of each motor??

    Stock Yamaha fuel line?

Does anyone know where to get the same fuel line that Yamaha uses? I've been through all the color matched urethane bling crap and nothing seems as good as stock line. I'd like to find a source for this material?

    Another dang FX1 pump thread......

Ok so you're probably tired of reading about FX1 pump upgrades, but I'm going to add to the mix anyway. I think it's a no brainer that the FX1 is the shiznit when it comes to ocean riding (and any other riding in my book), but we all whine about the pump cavitating. There are many differing...
