Yard sticks that what I forgot when I was at the hardware store. How do you make the dinner switch system Nate?
Well I made a little progress today. I think I'm gonna hold of on the tubbies for a little while. So I rocketed/angled my rear some and then just made it look better. Then I decided...
Ok I've got some stainless wire at my shop and I got a battery charger. I'll try and build a jig for it today.
As for the foam to hold the pole bracket in place while I glass it in. It did not work so I'll need to come up with another idea.
Well I've officially hit the "why am I doing this again" point. I'm not sure why but I truly do not like trying to form these tubbies.
So first thing first can someone please tell me how to make the fancy foam cutter. I've read about it a ton just can't remember how and I don't feel like...
I was sitting there racking my brain trying to figure out how to move my pole forward. My buddy was looking at it and said why don't you just flip this. I didn't think it would work but hacked it up anyways. And it's slick id have to say moves the pivot point of the pole about 7in forward.
I...
As far as filling in the slots I made for the rocker do I just mix epoxy with some cabosil and fill them in then put another layer of glass on the inside?
@j0hnny is this what you wanna do to your 650
Right now all my surface prep is getting sanded with 32 grit then hit with and air gun then whipped down with acetone to get rid of any kind of oils that may have leached in.
I think I'm gonna have to shorten the tubbies from too to bottom. Right now there to talk and I won't be able to glass...
Well got my stuff today and I think things are gonna slow up some. Now comes the time consuming stuff.
Also tubbies are a lot more difficult then I expected. I've got some rough shape ones made up but I'm not sure how tall I want them and idk how far from the bottom deck I should start them...
I didn't realize that was your build i read the entire thing about a month ago and that's what kinda inspired me to do mine!! There can never be enough pics on a build thread. Your trying to show everyone step by step how your doing it. The more pics the better I think.
Should have my order...
Ordered my foam today and made a little progress yesterday.
I need to know what kind of foam board is easy to work with for when I build my tubbies.
Will this work ?

Something like this a good deal?
I think I have some left over to form my pole area but not enough for everything else.
Well nothing got done tonight I had to go look at wedding venues. Yeah it was a total blast the only thing I could think about was how to rework my pole bracket area. That's when you know you have a problem.
Is there some local store like Home Depot or something to get two part foam? Or do...
Yep yep I have no idea if any things gonna fit but once you start cutting its hard to stop. If I threw a 650 back in it I know everything would fit I looked at my other one and have a ton of room. I think I'm gonna end up trying to make a water box and most likely get a kart tank.
@iangdesign you a are right got plenty of motivation!! As for the top deck I just took a sawzall down the top of bond line and cut it off. Then measured 2in around the entire top deck and then cut that. I have no idea if that's the way you do it but that's the way I'm screwing it up.
Also by...
Yeah everything is gonna get reworked by the time I'm done. The ass end should look plenty sexy I just got some beer and charged the batteries for my sawzall so I guess it's time to do a little work.
Yeah I think when I cut the top deck off and lower it some I'm going to move the entire top deck forward as well if possible. If that somehow doesn't work I'll move the pole bracket forward by itself.
I ordered about ten yrds of 1700 biax last night so hopefully that will be enough and will...
As far as a bigger pump I'm not sure yet I might get a donor 701 couch and throw it in will see but for now I'm just gonna run the stock 140mm. I also plan on making a set of tubbies. So do I follow the tubbie up the rocker or what. Also is there a certain distance to keep it from the bottom and...
I'm pretty sure it was bondo where the hole was it took awhile to chip it off. I don't know why anyone would use it to fix a hole but whatever.
Super rocker looks a little better with the top cut off and it sitting right side up. I might be able to take a little more off because I'm thinking...
