    Fouling Plugs - Please Help

90sj w/ a stock 650 (besides MSD coil & wires). Keep fouling the plug for the front cylinder only. I have been running 40:1 mix (a little cautious I know) and have stabilizer in it still from the winter. I would assume if it was a fuel issue, both plugs would be fouling instead of just the...

    Another Driveshaft Question

I found it. The thread pitch on a SJ prop is 1.5mm. So the tap size is 20mm x 1.5mm. Just figured I'd post it in case someone else is looking for it down the road.

    Another Driveshaft Question

So does anyone know what the thread pitch is on a SJ prop? I know it's 20mm diamater and left-handed. I tried calling and emailing Skat Trak and haven't gotten a response. I really don't want to spend another weekend on dry land...

    Another Driveshaft Question

Long story short, I am replacing a driveshaft on my 90 sj. I am trying to re-use my existing skat trak prop that is still in really good shape. The first thread is screwed up on the prop so I want to buy a tap to clean it up. It will be a 20mm diameter tap, but what is the thread count that I...

    Stripped a Driveshaft...

    Stripped a Driveshaft...

Gotcha. So it was a tightening issue? I haven't touched the prop since I got the ski over a year ago. Any ideas on how to tighten a prop if I don't have a spline tool??

    Stripped a Driveshaft...

Last Saturday I put my 650 sj in at the ramp, rode easily around a rock wall to beach it and think I picked something up in the intake. Immediately got off and stuck my hand in both sides of the pump to see what it was. Didn't come up with anything. Started it back up, it idled fine and got...

    site growth

I have to agree with that. I used to be over there more often, but now I pretty much just check the classifieds every now and then. The threads with 200+ responses of whining is just too much. Thankfully there are only a couple of those threads here haha :veryhappy: The dedication to standups...

Nice looking build! What kind of paint did you use in the engine bay?

650 SJ budget build and defoam

Dumb question...is "porting" simply making the ports larger or what?

    Wet Foam

I wouldn't be worried about your footholds letting water in. Water can come in from many other places and, unfortunately, SJs are notorious for it.

Making a cooler out of a hull

I like the radio idea. I'm thinking of taking one out of something like this: http://www.worldwide-usa.com/icool-large-stereo-cooler-p-1046744.html?utm_medium=shoppingengine&utm_source=googlebase&cvsfa=698&cvsfe=2&cvsfhu=31303436373434 Definately not the highest quality but its cheap. Now...

Making a cooler out of a hull

Anyone else got any pics or cool ideas? One we came up with is somehow molding cup holders in the tray or the hood.

Making a cooler out of a hull

Oh it will still touch water. I want it to be able to float anchored off the dock at the lake when we have a group of people there. But most of the time it will be on land... Your photoshop skills are impressive sir! Is the cooler legit though?

Making a cooler out of a hull

So maybe I can glue a palm tree to it and make it look like an island lol. That would be a damper to the plan though. I have the title, but don't want to have to register the thing.

Making a cooler out of a hull

So I recently picked up an old 300sx that I am gutting and turning into a cooler. I know people have done this before, so I would love to see some pics and just hear general ideas about how this thing could take shape. We are determining if we want the pole and hood to open up like usual or to...

    Need a Vest

Yea, they are. I don't know why they are on Coleman's site now. When you type in www.heliumwake.com it takes you directly there. Like I said before, look for last year's models and sometimes you will find some good deals.

First trip to surf. What do I need to know?

I use NGK plugs. they have both resistor and non-resistor varieties for most models of skis as far as I know. looks like djkorn is using those too, but his is resistor, hence the "R" in the part number.
