So my hood did not come with prongs or hooks so I am trying to think of a simple solution to secure the front of the hood to the ski. I will be running a stock hood latch at the rear of the hood. I cannot justify spending 100$ on new hooks and latches. I was thinking maybe a snowmobile hood...

That or the bendix is locked up jamming the starter. Id smack the starter with a mallet if you can get it in there, have to pull on the flywheel cover to see if your bendix is locked.
