I saw a lot of guys using down hill mountain bike helmets at the rides I went to this summer. I see the Giro helmet that seems to be specific for water. How do the mountain bike helmets hold up to getting wet inside? I found a bunch of them that look pretty good and range from 79.00 to...
Since there are very few out there so far, I figured I would make a place for those who demoed them to share your opinions. We have had a lot of calls and messages from people who really want to ride one first, this is understandable! Hopefully we will get a couple on the west coast soon. So...
I got a brand new snap on compression tester, checked and I have 230 psi.. I am at 1400 feet and plan to ride in NC this weekend at sea level. There is no detonation on anything, I pulled the head and checked. The domes that are in it are 28cc flat top domes according to the part number. I...
For some reason Facebook said I should add Masaki Wake as a friend. These pics came up in the news feed this morning. This explains how he can stay in those holds when he does all his crazy tricks.
I guess I'll be the first to post in here. There are so many mixed reviews on gelcoat and an epoxy layup. We have been searching and have only found one company, Scott Bader inc. that makes a polyester gelcoat specifically designed to bond with epoxy. Link to product here...
I have a chance to buy a js 550 for my nephew, but it's located in Toms River NJ. If someone is coming up from that way I'd be willing to make a fuel donation if you can bring it.
Thanks
Brian
After riding I like to pull my plugs and have a look at them and use a bore scope to look down inside. Both plugs were black and wet, tops of pistons are dark brown and wet with oil. no real burn pattern, just a solid color across the pistons. I havent really spent much time tuning this yet...
I have never owned an aftermarket hull other than my own. I have read some about how some of the other brands show up (finish quality). Can anyone give some input on what you have seen, and what you would like to see when you open the box and get your un painted hull? Please leave brand names...
Parts have all been gathered, materials are here ready to lay up, test panels have been made, scientific calculations done.... After a little hiccup with US customs wanting to hold the container for X-ray we are finally expecting to have our molds home in the next few days. NO more waiting...
Just wondering what prop you are running in your 148 pump with a stroker motor? I'd like to get some ideas. The prop is the last thing on my list to finish my build.
So I got my PF from Thrust, and was told if my motor was already set up for a b pipe to just go up 2 sizes on the jetting and start there. Can anybody else give some words of wisdom?
I got my max pump today. Very nice piece. I have a JetManiac drive shaft and I need some help on assembling the pump. Im curious to know if there is a spacer that goes on the shaft for the bearings. It looks like it is machined into the shaft. Im also a bit confused on what keeps the...
I got my motor used, It has the old style PV covers, they bolt down, do not use a spring retainer. The one is ground down to clear a b pipe. Im running a PowerFactor, and would like to replace them so they look nice. Where can I get them??
I have a 148 coming to me from Maxxx555 and I opted to not get the driveshaft with it. I heard bad things about the harness of the metal. What shaft works? I know in one of his threads he said the 08+ shaft will not work. What did you guys run? Are there any special modifications to the pump...
Well here she is. Won't float like this but as soon as I have a hull to put it in it's gonna be great! Turns out the pipe won't fit my current hull, but it looks so damn nice in my living room I figured I would show it off.
I need a measurement from the forward face of the pump shoe to the forward face of the bulkhead on a pre 08 superjet. Im trying to figure out what driveshaft would work if someone went from a Yamaha setup to a Kawasaki pump. I know there would be other work involved to make the pump fit. Just...
