    I know this is a dead thread but for future reference I did find the problem: I had a crank seal and rod bearing on the way out. So if you have this problem CHECK YOUR CRANKSHAFT because I didn't and when my bearing went out it caused some major carnage.

    Ok, I took the flywheel cover off, blocked the impeller with some wood, and I could not turn the flywheel at all. I would take the pump off, except I need an 8 inch 8mm hex wrench and I can not find one anywhere!

    Thanks Dan, but nope. Just went out and checked, real small gap, I'd be worried if it was much tighter. Any other ideas?     I'm new to Jet Skis but not two strokes. Having said that: I know the first cold start is the hardest but my ski takes 30+ seconds every time it starts, unless I kill it and start it back up within 5(ish) seconds. So my thought is that when it dies, all the fuel that should be in the line...
