i was actually wondering the same thing, having never rode in the surf. is it better to bail or to pancake with the ski? Ive been trying to learn Flatwater flips all year and i have never once let go, i always just land upside down. seems like thats a bad idea in surf though?

I took it to P&P performance in Richmond. They actualy did a little carbon work reshaping the holds, and then made wedges and enclosed it with turf, similar to the DXV holds

looks like a shortened RN SJ pole to me, here is my carbon gen one. with an X metal pole. it need to be a little shorter still. its an older fixed length one though.

Lol, I was gonna say, no one mentioned it because it was just a 355. Inorder for it to clear you hood hooks just grind out the foam where they sit so that it goes around them, then you can get the curve right.
