Nice job! This could almost warrant its own thread because that is very helpful. I was always under the understanding that this versiplug was specifically made for the rear-exit hulls. In those it is a direct fit.

You are right. My 001 is on the cylinder. And mine did take out the connecting rod last year because of water leaking into the exhaust port through the jacket.

Hmmm, my TPE 1105 also has the 001 stamp from LPW.

Is it pretty straight forward on how to read it? Just match up the angle that fits the line best?

The Dasas were cut like a cone, with a point. I believe the entire contour of the head's domes were cut to try and keep the same volume.

My friend put out-of-the-box CR500 pistons in his 950 earlier this year. The only modification that had to be done was recutting the domes. Side by side, the only real noticeable difference was the crown of the Dasa piston being machined down. He's got over 20 hrs on it now.

What is the condition and location? Can you post video of the bearings?
