What is the difference between a 62t case bottom and a 61 X case bottom? I know the top half has the intake manifold but I have both in front of me and do not see any obvious difference.

I would just get the thrust thottle lever that has the pivot to adjust angle. Run it on the left side upside down. Sorry the decal won't be the rightside up but being upside down shouldn't affect it from working for you. Good luck
I would get a quote through a fiberglass shop and put that claim in through shipper to pay out. Order yourself some black gelcoat and touch it up yourself. Or grab some epoxy at the store and a dremel tool, prep the area and shape with epoxy and go over with rattle can. the bottoms get scratched...
