I have a 1989 JS 550 and was wondering what are the best footholds to get? Any help would be appreciated.

Does yours have a choke or primer? Mine was doing almost the exact same thing and the problem was the primer T-fitting was broke off and the carb wasnt getting any/enough fuel. 40:1 fuel ratio is correct that is what I run in mine.

Well I finally found the problem. It has a primer on it, and the little plastic T fitting where it goes into the main fuel line was broke off, so it wasnt getting gas. It was just sucking air. Thanks for all the help.

Well I drained the the penzoil mixed gas and replaced it with 40:1 Amsoil dominator gas. Took it down to the lake and it wouldnt start. So I pulled the plugs dumped a little gas in and it ran for about 20 seconds with no problems then died. So then I checked the fuel line, no fuel was getting to...

I just got done riding my js 550. I worked on it for 3 hours down at the launch to get it started. I mixed up some premium gas at 32:1 with Penzoil outboard motor oil. It would run for a second and then quit. So I checked the filter to see if it was wet. I dried it, put it back on, same problem...

I was wondering if anyone has ever made there own turf? If so what did you use? I am looking to make some because I dont have the money to buy new Hydro Turf. Any help would be appreciated.
