I have one 94 all stock. I have a neighbor who has three and another neighbor who has four. On my small lake in Michigan there has to be 10-15 fx1's.

I will keep that in mind. Knock on wood, I have probably put 25-30 hours on the ski since then and no problems .........yet :beerchug:

Well it wasn't the start/stop switch, so I took the electrical box apart. Everything inside looked great, but ever since then the fx1 has started everytime. I don't know what I did but I fixed it!!!1

Or buy a dye from an automotive paint supplier that they use to dye soft top convertables and spray it on yourself. Hydroturf also looks good. Just don't throw away the old piece, sell it on fleabay and somebody will buy it.....

Buy anything with a Yamaha 701 in it. Fx-1 or Superjet. My 94 fx1 is the most dependable machine I have ever owned, and fast, all stock!

Well I pulled the exhaust and cleaned the connections to the bloack and startor (they were a little corrided but not bad). The startor and battery are working fine. Tonight I will take the start/stop switch apart and give it a good cleaning. Thanks for the help. I will keep you posted on what I...

I have a 94 fx1 (701 61x) and I am having an electrical issue. I ride the ski for awhile (it runs great!) and I shut it off to take a break and I get the "click" when I hit the starter. After awhile it starts back up and runs great. My battery is not the problem, it's new. Can anybody lead me...

IMO, my fx-1 is perfect. I have done zero mods to the engine and it is all the ski I need. I do understand that there are a lot of riders WAY better then me. IMO the stock fx-1 is the perfect ski for free riding on an inland lake.

The races at Walled Lake, May 31 and June 1st. This is the real deal my friend, we are going to watch but you can sign up and race ($ and you have to meet certain requirements, don't ask me what the requirements are, I have know idea). Should be a good time.:smokin:

Don't worry about and excess glue, it should come off with some paint thinner or mineral spirits.
