Do you have any of the hood latches or the hood hopes up front. Also do you have the strap for the fuel tank

Can you test the two wires that come out of the stator for polarity. Test them both to ground if you get a time on both wires them it's shorted out and no good.

I would check to see if the cooling line from the top of the manifold isn't plugged and causing excess heat from the exhaust. Thus causing performance issues.

Yes I cut my pole up near the weld to remove the piece that accepts the steering. Then I cut what I needed off but also took note on the angle I wanted my steering. I chose to cut up near the top to reduce the amount of stress on the poll and to hide any flaws.
