Krash 1200cc footrocket

Had a guy in our ride group that got one of the reaper 1200s back in 2022 or so. First weekend out, fuel pump wire came out had to solder connection to get running again. He replaced most of the ignition system and 1 or 2 sensors that failed. At one point he had it pretty reliable. He pulled the engine after 1 season to have some porting work done. Upon disassembly, found the inner crank seals had failed so he had to get a new crank. Decided to just put it back together with the new cramk and sell it after finding a wiring issue in the huge wiring system for all of the fuel injection. He ended up selling the ski.

My understanding is 2 stroke jetskis aren't allowed in lake Powell... But I've also talked to people that bring them in so who knows. I don't know how comfortable your kids are on stand-ups, or I guess how old they are either but the foot rocket is a pretty stable hull. I had one with the 997, not 1200. My kids didn't like mine because the power delivery made it feel more squirrelly to them. They also never spent enough time on it to get comfortable with it and I'm sure they would have gotten comfortable on it if they had given it more of a chance. But they just preferred the superjet and 440/550's.
Thanks for the info. I have roundnose superjet with a jetmanica 781. The kids love it but want to jump higher. 16 and 14 year old boys that love it. Just wanting more. We take our standup to lakepowell every year and dont have a problem, but we go away from everyone. Not sure if we could drive the Krash or if we would have to tow it. We ride the SJ about 15 miles up the lake.

The foot rocket is a really fun hull. Your boys will love it for jumping boat wakes. I've heard more positive things about the newest ones but still some negative. I can't say though, I had the 997 and it definitely had it's share of problems but when it was running good it was a lot of fun. I definitely wouldn't want to ride one 15 miles in though, it's not a great cruising ski. And if you're going to tow it be careful, I'd probably leave the bilge pump on at a minimum.
