If you are getting intermittent spark, check for water inside the flywheel cover. If there's water, the stator & flywheel magnet contacts are probably rusted. What have you ohmed out so far?
Correct plug is a BR7ES. You can test the stator before pulling it all apart to see if somethings wrong. Ohm out black & red wires, see if your getting continuity.
That thing is bone stock. Still has the oil injection hooked up. Worth nowhere near $650. I would pay $2-300 tops. I can usually pickup a mint js300 or 300sx for under $200, and sometimes free!
