Boys...more noob techie questions. What's a bendix? How does it work? What makes one go bad and need replacing? How do you know if one is need of replacement or repair.

New to standups guys. how much difference does a b-pipe make over stock without other mods? can the money be better spent on other upgrades? looking for a sn sj, pretty much stock so i can learn it from the ground up. got my eyes on a couple.

i'm trying to find out what's the ballpark figures for replacing a 95 SJ driveshaft, midshaft and midshaft housing. Anybody have some round about figures?
