300/440/550 550 flat deck fixed steer project

Could you post or P.M. me some pics of the underside of the hood? I've been wanting to do this forever, as my dream ski is a 550 hull, 650 engine, flat deck, fixed steer, with trim. I have the trim, the hull and the engine, but I've been dragging my feet on the fixed steer because I couldn't...

    Custom/Hybrid JS water box idea...

I'm ok with all of the negatives just because I want to try it. One more option I have, is I have an exhaust outlet that used to dump the exhaust into the pump area of the tide rider. How much hull integrity would I loose by cutting a three inch hole right below the bond line just forward of...

    Custom/Hybrid JS water box idea...

Alex 03: It is a straight through,, baffled design. I wouldn't be glassing in the old hole, but instead making a metal block off plate to bolt over the old hole. (I have metal, and am much better at metal work than fiberglass) N2 H20: The water box does get pushed about four inches farther...

    Custom/Hybrid JS water box idea...

Hey, I recently parted out a Tide Rider that used many similar parts as the wet jet line of pwc's and found this odd water box from Hollond (or sweden? I can't remember). I need a better flowing water box for my 650 conversion and thought I could put it in. My question is: how much hull...

    300/440/550 Flat deck 550

That's awesome! I wish I had the guts/time/money/knowledge to flat deck my 550/650 ski. Chase

    300/440/550 carb problem

Make sure and double check that you've got all those little clear disks in the right order. If you have any of these screwed up (although they may seem correct) your carb will not work right. I have attached a link to a diagram showing the order of the pump disks, assuming your running Mikuni...

    300/440/550 550/650 questions

O.K. I won't get the BN then, thanks. I've read just about every 550/650 thread there is, and helped a friend do one last summer, I'm just trying to do go the cheap route for now. I'm going to start a build thread tomorrow, one last thing, anyone know where to get a cheap SBN or 650 voltage...

Sorry about the starting fluid tip, my bad, I guess you learn something new everyday!

300/440/550 js550 cant get it started

I would try pouring a small amount of gas, or spraying some starting fluid into the mouth of the carb and see if you can get its started that way, then you know for sure its a carb issue. A few quick checks I usually do are: make sure the vacuum line is connected and not cracked, check and make...

    300/440/550 550/650 questions

After a year of riding a stock 550, which I know have hanging on my beadroom wall, I have decided that I am doing a 550/650 over the winter with a 440 hull and just had a few questions. First is that my hull does not have sponsons and I was wondering if I could use these...

    Other Jet Ski Magazine

So, no ideas, or info yet? It seems like a good mag, but I still don't feel well sending my card info to someone no one knows, in Dubai.

    Other Jet Ski Magazine

Has anyone seen this before? looks pretty cool, but asking for billing info without a price? Their contest seems too good to be true... But hey if this is legit, It'll be sweet! Any info, price, etc. would be greatly appreciated. http://www.jetskimagazine.com/

Other Do you name your jet ski?

My Js550 is named "Ace" after the hardware store, because when I took the engine out I pulled about three handfuls of dropped nuts and bolts out of it. And the Bayliner is the "strayliner" as I got it for free because none of the last three owners wanted it.
