if its cranking slow than battery or starter circuit but if it cranks good but just wont start its probably lean and not getting fuel at cranking speed. your popoff could be too high or the motor is not pulling a strong enough signal to open the needle at low rpm.

you have a voltage drop to the starter motor or a bad starter. do voltage drop tests with a DVOM if you know how otherwise check and clean ALL your connections and retest. if that does not fix it there is a good chance the starter is bad.

The bondo resin you buy at Wal-Mart or the parts store. Also use the green fiberglass "putty" filler for finish work. I use Bondo all the time never had a problem. have skis I repaired over 20 years ago with bondo fiberglass. still ride them never failed.

I think that the final pick was based on cost only so they picked a local guy. Thanks for all the XH2O support even though this didn't happen it has opened other doors. So don't feel that your effort was in vain.

the studs get rusty and they can be hard to get off. you need a block of wood and a big hammer. leave the manifolds on it so you have something to hit.
