bought new stator.. replaced it.. checked all my connections, they are all clean. I even removed the ground cable from the engine and cleaned that real good.. still the same, weak spark until i try to start it.... then no spark. this story is getting old. CDI is next I guess.

Roger that! got the nut off earlier.. got to the airport and grabbed the expensive snap on puller from the shop box.. LOL. Ill be on it tomorrow.. i ordered another stator.. I hope it cures it... though i have an sh!tty feeling i will be ordering a CDI as well.. grrrr. we will see and thanks...

Anyone know if the flywheel nut is reverse thread?.. dont want to force it the wrong direction.

can the stator output be tested by probing the wire and grounding the meter?.. because I followed the other post and on my meter was only showing about 3.5 volts on the "charge" coil.. and about 2.5 on the pulser coil... assuming I have this meter set right. Or do I HAVE to disconnect the...

Also.. is there anywhere to get a service manual in PDF form? No.. when the coil "tested" bad.. I bought a new on with the wires on it. :/

re-reading that i think i may be able to discern them.. the one on the top is BR/WHT trace... next one down is grn Lighting coil.. next is WHT/RED trace.. Pulser coil bottom two?? at a loss here..

I charged the Batt. over night,, put it in.. had spark, replaced the plugs.. tried to start.. it fired ran 2 seconds and died.. then, NO SPARK. I believe if I can get spark the water issue will be cured.. I cannot turn it on its side or upside down.. I cannot get it off the trailer to do that...
