From JSS Site
"The neoprene shell resists gas, oil, and saltwater environments."
....
" water can never work its way up inside the wire"
That VA Sea Water must be CRAZY!! ;-)
That sounds good. Id hate to buy a new coil/wires just to have them go brittle and have to buy again in a few years.
So JSS it sounds like the way to go. Plus it a bit less $$ (it all helps ;-)
after reading and reading i decided not to buy the msd coil like i was going to for my superjet.
I like the JSS rebuild but I wonder can and will the original coil go bad? heck, it 16 yrs old.
So I figured maybe ill go with this one on ebay but i am not to thrilled that the seller does not state...
after doing more and more research on this it appears you need x-ray vision to fill it to the EXACT amount.
To little and water will get in... to much and the seal blows causing $400 in damage if left alone as most will do....
YAMAHA! HOW THE HELL DOES ANYONE KNOW THE EXACT AMOUNT TO PUT IN THIS...
i guess for me only time will tell....
That dumb grease fitting is like putting a RED button on your car dashboard with no warning label!
If pressed blows up the car engine.
I only have grease come out the rear... nothing in the hull. I also used the gun that uses the small grease tube so each pump is like 2 teaspoons so it not being pumped in fast.. any way to tell if damage was done?
Jetmaniac, how could overfilling result in damage to the housing? the housing is one solid piece. Then there are 2 oil seals behind that (the housing). Overfilling causes excess grease to come out through these 2 seals exiting out the mid shaft exit. I do not see how using a HAND PUMP grease...
Im beginning to not feel so alone ;-)
Sorry I have not reasoned to ya’ll but been busy rebuilding the carbs on my
RN. Poor girl sat in a guys yard for a good 4 years.
Swapmeet, so you normally ride Lewisville lake park on Sunday?
I so far just ride near stewart creek park in the colony...
I ride... we ride... my girlfriend and I ride our standups.... alone ;-(
I saw a handful of stand up riders this year at the lake (lake lewisville TX)
and briefly spoke to one...
I see the big couchs zooming back and forth in a straight line... but that about all they can do....
I see the nice...
