Thanks for the info. I was kinda surprised this wasn't a more common swap since there must be a lot of empty 1200 hulls and spare 701 engines with all the triple swaps out there! (But I guess it is kinda lame intentionally build a slow ski lol) I'll keep doing my homework

Hi, I found a fair price for a pretty clean gp1200, but I really just want the motor for my blaster1 conversion. Has anyone put their old 701 into the big gp1200 hull? I think it could make a good ski for my wife and kids with my leftovers. Thanks for any input. I'm not experienced on...

thanks, thats what I wanted to hear... Just installed it and sealed the box, time for some riding! and if its not as good, i will just steal the cdi out of my girlfriends blaster, she wont know the difference haha.

Hello, my cdi went on my blaster, and I accidently bought a 6m6 one off of ebay... they guy said it came off a 61x engine... but regardless i know it should work, but is that 5 or 600 rpms gonna be a noticable loss for me? only significant mod is a protec pipe. thanks

I have a 1995 Waveblaster 701 with no spark.... I have read some links and attempted some of the recommended tests, but not sure if im on the right track. was running great, then suddenly no spark at all... still turns over great and all that. voltage going into the coil reads around 12.5...
