the two things that usually cause a lean are hull extensions in the back and sponsons. I looks like you don't have either? Very clean ski- jerrspud

300/440/550 bn 44 carb vs sbn 44 carb?
If it's running fine, there is really no need to swap it. A SBN is nice because you can rejet it when you install mods. If you stock, there is really not much reason to swap it out- jerrspud
