Just want to share my experience with the SE 50mm Ninja carbs.
I ordered a set through blowsion. Before purchasing I had heard of shops making modifications / updates to them due to failing epoxy ect. I asked blowsion specifically about this issue and was assured that these carbs need no work...
I used to tell everyone to get the squares, but after all these years, I say get the roundie 96 and up. They run better, they ride better, and they stay dry inside.
I can't imagine being over propped and turning 7650, It gets there in a hurry. But I have always questioned the accuracy of the zeel 760 set-up.
Kev, I use the PETX-2000 DXR to tune for max rpm. It will hold stable rpm on long pull. I gave it a 1/4 extra and air temps have gone up by about 20*...
Engine came with 45 thou. “Pump gas domes” I ran 50/50 91/110. Curve with 30* max advance to 4500 and tapering down to 15*
Bumped the fuel to 110 and the curve to 28* max to 4000 down to 15*
Dropped curve to 26* max to 4000 down to 13* and opened squish to 50 thou
Update: can’t get it to stop melting the piston edges. Pulled timing out, increased squish, 110 octane … maybe the stinger is too small or not putting enough water to it.

to me, the “set back” feature makes the rear of ski feel more stuck to the water. Harder for it to break loose because the ski is holding on to a larger scoop of water
The “mag” big hub helps keep the prop from slipping under hard acceleration.
