I've used trex 2x4's. They slid nicely but there was a nasty sag. I wouldn't use them again.

I have seen something similar tried on another site and it failed miserably. Eventually someone will not get around to shipping back and the person eventually fades from the website. It could work well if you had some method of accountability

You said you sandwiched honey comb. Is it Nomex or aluminum? Nomex is really light but absorbs water and when it does, it loses its rigidity. I know that Hyrdoplanes run aluminum honeycomb because of this reason.

I'm pretty sure he has a 650 pump. RKM is no newb. I have the protec grate as well, well did have (broke it on something). I need to order a new one but with the weather turning, I've been putting it off.

I've seen Dayton get pretty darn close. I've also seen him get close on a stock 650sx

I disagree. Weather stripping has memory and will lose any squish it may have after a short period of time. OEM FTW
