As far as all the back and forth one thing will always stay true:
Tune the Rider, not the Ski.
Ride time is more fun and a lot cheaper than all the time spent on mods!

My Friend comes across a 89 550 in one of his clients sheds (he is a landscaper).

They all do that due to compression of the steering cable and misadjustment at the nozzle.
Be sure to align the nozzle straight and check that the bars are perfectly straight- adjust cable ends as needed.
