Shadow I had the same issue with my coupler not coming off as you did. I ended up getting some PB Blaster to spray on the shaft (and let it run down into the threads for about an hour), then I put the coupler in the vice, heated it with the torch, then used a pipe wrench to spin the shaft out...

Alright cool thanks special for the info, and yea shadow that's exactly how mine is too. I'm glad to hear that's how they work though it just seemed weird because all of the yamaha bearings press on (as well as all of the other bearings that I have ever worked with)

Question regarding the zxi driveshaft, the seals and the bearings for the yamaha midshaft. I got the bearing and when I tried the fitment on the driveshaft it fit a little loose over the shiny part where the bearing is supposed to ride. (The bearing is about a half of a thousandth oversize from...

Alright thanks swap..yea the rubber and metal separated (not the seal, but the outer rubber) so it looks like I will be needing a midshaft carrier. Let me know what you guys have. Thanks

I was wondering if anyone knows if the superjet and fx1 midshaft housing are the same size. I think i might of broken mine (I need to pull it apart to look). I might need be needing one if any of you have one laying around. Thanks
