That may have done it, but usually to evap all the water out of the cases and crank it is recommended to take it to the lake and run it hard for 30 minutes. You might be ok with the driveway run but if it was my ski I would already have it back at the lake.
Something is causing the fuse to blow so you need to find it. Something in the wiring isnt right if you replaced it and it immediately blew. When you jumped the post and only the bendix spun is just a low battery or loose connection and it didnt have enough juice to spin the bendix fast enough...
Wow this got way more replies than I was planning. I did turn down the splines in the prop to make sure the driveshaft did not bottom out on the splines and ruin them. My problem was this 1/2” thick rubber bushing in the prop that was preventing the driveshaft from sliding all the way back...
Installing this sxr prop in my x2. Cut back 6mm all three cuts were made so I thought it would have no problem fitting. I was thinking maybe would have to make small adjustments to motor mounts but there is no reason the pump should be this far off. My motor is all the way forward so can’t make...
Does anyone have a headpipe or manifold laying around that could take some measurements for me? Either with calipers or micrometers if possible, was hoping for something a little more accurate than a tape measure.
Thanks
I snapped mine in half snowboarding and was back on the mountain in 6 weeks. Doc told me 6-8 weeks but I am young and healed fast. 3 months is a little long
Can't say for sure but if its not the shaft seal then I would think it is the hood seal. I saw a similar post a while back. Hood seal looked good and the guy thought it was sealing properly until he put his phone in the engine bay and recorded the inside of the hood with it latched while he...
Looking to buy stock big hub sxr prop 13/18 I believe from what ive read is what they come stock. It is going in my 701 x2. I can cut back to fit my pump but if you already have a cutback one Ill take it. Stock prop isnt cutting it im bouncing off rev limiter way to much.
Thanks
This has been a trend for a while. On the upside though, I have been seeing a lot more posts online about getting into the stand up sport and a bunch of people buying the old skis. This also has come with prices on old superjets and 650sx's going way to high. I test ride my ski at a small lake...
I definitely have a balance issue now. As soon as I put it in the water yesterday I saw it was lower on that side. The handling was different but nothing terrible, it is an x2 without tubbies and a heavier engine so there was not much "good" handling to begin with. Tubbies are next to help carry...
