My bud Greg and I are planning on being there this year. Neither have ridden in the surf before, just a couple of flatwater lakers so far. Had such a blast on Travis last summer at the standup meet, meeting everyone and skiing with everyone, we wanted to make sure we hit this one this year. Clay

Well something's not right. I'm pulling on the pump, but it's pulling the whole shaft with it. Now the rear driveshaft coupling is against my bilges as I pull back on the pump. If I pull much harder the coupling will rip the bilges off their mounting or crack the covers. Update Got it. Had to...

Cool, thanks very much. I just felt like I was about to pull out something that wasn't supposed to come out. So when putting it back on I'll fish the shaft back in there and twist it by hand to realign, yes?

I'm removing the pump on my ski to replace a broken steering cable. As you can see from the picture I have the pump bolts off and I've started sliding it back towards the rear of the ski. Now I assumed that the driveshaft would slide out of where it goes into the prop. Is this right? Because...

Yep, when I put my Kickers in I had 8MM padding underneath the turf on top and bottom. Couldn't stuff my size 13's in very far so had to take out the padding. What resulted was a little sunken area where the trays are which helps me find the footholds when things are getting crazy.

Yeah we know a few of the officers out there too and also get pulled over from time to time. And if you don't know to behave when the cops pull you over, well, you'll learn quickly on that lake. I guess I was just surprised at the difference in attitude in cops on Lake Travis and Lake Austin...

Yeah Cypress Creek's no wake zone is a 5-10 idle ride out to where you can ride but it's the closest public ramp to town. Smallish parking lot fills up quick there. If you have friends that keep their boats at Cypress Creek Marina or Anderson Mill Marina you can cut this to a couple minutes as...
