I bought some alibaba type bearings and races tj replace the locked up bearings. Am I missing something? There’s nothing to contain the bottom race, no lip or anything on the stock pole.

There’s a local guy there at lake Norman who has a low hour 61x for sale. You could drive here and back and have a running 701 installed for less than the time and cost to rebuild. Probably has an impeller you need also. Or shop local for a complete donor with a 701 or 760.
