701 61x questions (in a Raider)

Ok, in the wetjet parts manual, it shows flow from the head to that little nipple. If so, a small T off the head would work IMO.
I also double checked, I do have an adjuster bolt on the first part of the pipe where the water comes in from the head. As this will be my first time tuning this, does anyone have any suggestions how to start?

Update:
everything fit, i go to press the start button and poof, a little smoke from the starter terminal.. the post is rubbing against the exhaust manifold which I didn't notice. So now to take it all apart and see what can be ground down.
