Camping on the point! This is a fun lake, the point is right on the shore line which your tent and ski are right next to each other.

July 16-17 is the date to have fun!

I spoke with check in desk. The point has no revs. and its $ 6:50 per person per night. Its primitive camping and no generators. Speedfreek has better directions, once he sees this he'll post 'em.

If anyone needs directions PM me. We go to the lake all the time...camp on the point quite often as well.

So whats the name of this ride gonna be? Or we just leaving it as the Kinkaid ride?

Also, We should make up a list of stuff people could bring. I should be able to bring quite a bit of fire wood...broken up pallets and such along with regular logs if I still have any left.

I have that Weber Q propane grill as well...works great..can bring it. It would be cool if we could all chip in and buy a bunch of food...then have everyone bring their own drinks.

Here is the link to the Google map page. If you can't figure out directions let me know I will type you run by turn directions Just click the link on the top of the picture and enter your address to get directions. This is the end of the "road" but you have to go to the bottom left of that little section to get to the "point" that we stay on. You can camp within fountain distance of the water... LMAO.. I have been known to fill a van full of water before.. LOL

And don't let the picture of the water fall in Louies picture fool you. You can ride up to the falls but your on the top side and then have to walk down them.

That should be enough time for me to get my ski finished. If not then of course I will be there with or without a ski like always.

Just some info..

Camping on the point is $6.50 per night per person. DO NOT try to sneak in. The last two times I have camped there the groundskeeper has rode around on his golf cart and checked the passes to make sure we paid.

Also, will we be camping right up on the tip of the point? Curious if we will just put in right there or if we will be using the ramp.

We always just put in right there a few skis anyhow. We just roll the trailers across the rocks and into the water. If you have a beach dolly we use that if not just hook the trailer up to the truck and back it... in 4X4 truck of course

If you are going to be riding on Lake Kincaid I would go out and check out the Cliffs that are on that lake. You can jump from 0-60 feet, its a definite blast and have done it many times considering I go to SIUC. I have to say I am very jealous and want to ride out there so bad but my ski is in the Chicago area.

I should still be able to make it...I have to attend a birthday party for a good friend on the 17th so its a horrible weekend for this. At worst I will just come on the 16th and ride, then head over to my lake property back here. .
