ive seen people use sealer on copper gaskets and ive always just heated them up with a torch before i install them

is there any real plus or need to use sealer?

Soft copper can flow around small dings in the surface but thats about all on a jetski engine. Make sure the surface is perfect and use some sealant.

Yes anneal the gasket, scrub with scotchbrite pad, wipe with thinner then 2 coats of coppercoat spray will work well in most applications, but not all, like a 650/701/760 when trying to use as a headgasket.
Works fine for a base gasket.

copper spray a gasket after annealing.improves sealing if marginal.
