Slippery Liquid Race Boots...Any Good?

I recently bought a pair..haven't had a chance to try them out. Im just curious as to how they hold up? They were pretty pricey but I needed something asap and wanted something with a thick sole.
Any input? I don't want to be recommending them to locals if they are known to be junk.

I used to run the Slippery Comp boots. While they were quite comfy, the soles quickly delaminated from the boot itself (within a few rides). it would start at the outside edges and pull apart, then pull the heel off.

i changed to wrestling shoes which last much longer... but are not nearly as comfy. If these last a while I would consider going back to Slipperly boots... So let me know how they work out.

I have been using the new boots like u have since last Oct and I love em. They are holding up MUCH better that the previous comp boots did!!! I think Slippery finally got em right.

Good deal... I may have to order up a pair then. I miss having good cushy boots...

Nightrider, what size shoes do you wear? I see you ordered size L in the Slippery boots. Last time I had the Slippery boots I had to send back the L for an XL - I only have a size 10.5 foot.

That is EXACTLY what I was worried about. The soles look like they would be the first thing to come off. I will keep an eye on that. Might have to 5200 them! Haha

I will let you know what I find out. They will get plenty of use. After seeing my buddy pull his foot out of the water and having a rusty river treble hook wrapped around his big toe(it was a huge hook), I wear boots all the time.

Cool..thanks for the input. I love the way they fit and they are extremely comfortable. I don't mind spending the money on something that holds up. My feet are the one thing that always gets torn up so these will be great.

my wife and i both use them
i love their durable construction, especially compared to the inferior jet pilot made in china crappy shoes

one thing we noticed about these liquid race shoes, our feet get the "sleep" feeling where they go numb
have no clue why it happens with these
my older slippery's didn't have that problem, nor did the jet pilots (3 pair fell apart VERY quickly)

someone mentioned Nike makes a wake boarding shoe, may give that a shot

I tried the nike wake board shoes... they were by far the most comfy shoes I ever wore on my ski... and super light... however, they had no traction and I kept sliding out of my footholds... I gave them to a couch riding friend.

UPDATE:

Tried the boots out this whole weekend...LOVE THEM! They are very comfortable with the neoprene bootie and so far they are holding up great. I wore them most of the weekend in and out of the water.

Definitely a must have if you enjoy not tearing up your feet!
