Superjet/FX1 CDI modification

Can anyone help me with a definitive answer? I have spent hours searching to try and confirm which solder points to use to simply by-pass the rev limiter (I don't want it adjustable). I keep ending up back at the same two pictures in an old thread, showing two different pairs of solder points. I have the box cut open ready and I am getting desperate. (And all the tuning shops seem to think it's a matter of national security and won't say a word)

i am pretty sure i used the pictures from this thread when i did the mod but it seems the info needed is gone.
maybe someone will chime in?
perhaps you need to run the jump wire on the same posts as the resisters (see pictures):ugh2:
when i did the mod the lanyard would no longer kill the motor. you could not start the machine without the lanyard hooked up but ounce the ski was running you could pull the lanyard and ther ski would continue to run.
im pretty sure this was a result of the mod.

Just replace the 91-100k resistor with a 70-75k and seal up the box. This will get the rev limit up to 7300-7500. Lower resistance raises rpm. Why would you want to eliminate the rev limiter on a watercraft?

Thanks for all the replies guys - it's nice to know you're not alone!!
The problem I have is that I keep coming back to the two pictures that Flash FX posted. These pics both show the same solder point at the left end of the wire but the right end of the wires are on different solder points (labelled A and B in the pic I posted). So which is the correct one?
(Surferjet - if you click the icon with the picture of a tree at the top of the message box you can upload pics from your computer)
Thanks for your efforts, I will be really grateful if we can nail a definitive on this!
