Trouble with RRP foot hold install ( troubled no more )

A little more progress . Foamed the bottom of the foot hold area added plaster to the casts to make the boxes deeper . I could hit the easy button and dam an area and just foam , glass ,sand , but I'm really enjoying wasting time and material trying to make a box that will work. i'll see how my plaster cast do with the additional layer .

Roo, i think you may be right . It's a sizable project with my limited time . I do have every intention of using an xft ish enclosed hold adapted to the RRP set up . You may loose the up and down adjustment but you can pad it to fit . Also , they will be some what duck footed . If it works out I'll give you the skinny .

i will agree, the XFT's do make you feel a bit duck footed.

i finally had to do this to my rickter holds (i have finally added a bit padding for comfort):

Well a little up date ......... I really like the RRP adjustability. It allows you to find the most comfortable spot / balance . The XFT's are more comfortable ,but the RRP's are not bad . Here is how it turned out . Still playing around with another foot hold idea. Also installed the Pancake Pete front foot hold with a little extra padding (nice addition) . Notice the visual red / black carbon panel inset in the foot hold box (see you got to coordinate , I gots me a red visual hood so panel ties it all together ) .

Here is the other idea . A semi enclosed . Hell I may quit my job and become a full time foot hold designer . I could design foot holds for NASA and other Government agencies that need good quality foot holds . Seriously , I do think with the shorter hulls now in-voge , this is an area that would be worth some R+D . Sleep easy my friends I am on the case and have also enlisted the help of several top innovators in the sport. It is reported that one of them is a 5th cousin twice removed of the the great Robert Oppenheimer . To further assure you of my foot hold convictions , I will here by swear an oath of chastity until I bring this new innovation to the fore front of the stand up jet ski community . This is my pledge to you my loyal and faithful followers.

I think if you want to stay married, you might want to work a little faster on this new innovation. How many months have you been working on this already? :pokey: lol

i dont understand why you guys put enclosures in. is it because you cant stay locked in? i think these are a way safer alternative.

the major benefit on these holds is that you can karate kick into these things and you big toe will never meet the end of the foot hold. i literally have to tug 3 times to get my right foot out of it.

i just cut the side to lower the hold, and with my 25mil hydro-turf pad.... golden. best set up ever. i would install these on any ski i'll ever own.
