help me id this ski!

just found out that my new gf has a waverunner

she said it hasnt started in over a year. so i told her id look at it (homefully just replace spark plugs and bettery)

i know its a Seadoo GS.

anyone know the year and what size motor it has?

HID tags should tell you what year it is. Looks like the 657 motor.

Look at the rear end, It should have a VIN # on it and should give you the last two digits of the year at the end of the VIN

I think all gs models had the 720 single carb 85hp motor.

anyone know how i find out what kind of spark plug it takes.

would wanna just pick up 2 right away.

(please dont say look at the spark plug, because i know that and i would like to pick them up before i go there and look at it)

As far as I can remember all of the GS's came with the 720cc as Dustin stated, most all of the Seadoo 2 stroke came with BR8ES-S plugs
The -s indicates a solid top for the tip, not a screw on tip.
The main problem you will need to do to this ski to make it run right, (as long as the engine is good) is to rebuild the entire fuel system, this includes carb rebuild, replace all gray fuel line and filters, and I would even replace the fuel selector switch as they also get clogged up from the bad gray fuel lines.

Most sea doos I have ran across have to have the fuel system replaced .
