Hydroturf- Seriously, a week to ship my items?

So I ordered my turf and some other items on Wed. morning; I just got my shipping confirmation tonight. How does it take a legitimate business a week to get an item shipped? Its not like they have to wait on suppliers or anything.

I guess I am just venting because I am waiting on my turf and my Watcon hood seal to be able to button up my square.

Lead Time to process most orders is 5 days. Your order will be shipped via UPS Ground unless otherwise specified and can take up to 6 working days in transit.

taken right off the bottom of there shopping cart in the fine print

sometimes they have to make up your order. Like if you get waffle cut they usually dont stock waffle so you have to request it and can take time for them to get to your order and run it through the cutter.

Justin, I wouldn't get to excited just yet. I usually get my 'shipped notification' with in a day of actually getting the order to my door. USUALLY, it is the shipped notification that is slow, not the actual shipping/processing. I hope I am right for your sake.

I'll say im far from thrilled about my recent hydro-turf experience. Called in an order gave a billing and a shipping address. I got a email a week later saying its just left the building (TO THE WRONG ADDRESS). :aargh4:

Also requested samples (online) of underpad regular/plush. Not only did they never send it, they never responded. (thus why i called in for my order).

Also the 2tone black/green is listed on there site as a color. but when i went to order it, they wanted to add a custom color charge. $120 a sheet. FTHAT! anywho my gripes with them recently.

I didnt have any issues with them. I just called my order in though. They were pretty nice and helpful. They even offered advice for when I was in the middle of install. I would assume that they dont keep a lot of the various sheets in every different cut on the shelf. I asked if it could be expedited and I think it was $30.

Hydro Turf rules... give em a break, man!!!!

I still don't understand why someone feels the need to tell everyone when something doesn't exactly the way they want..?..
What does it do for you posting about it and what do you expect will happen?? If I was HT your order would be 2 weeks next time.

Isnt this the point of the negative feedback forum? To let others know when something doesnt go right? I feel it is unacceptable for ANY company to wait a week to ship an item, even if it is their policy. Its simply a bad policy. I know this thread isnt going to change anything; I just want to let others know that they shouldnt expect speedy processing with their orders. Becasue if they are like me, they may overlook the shipping time fine print on their site.

I guess we should just all roll over and let crappy customer service become the norm?

If you really were to delay orders on purpose, you wouldn't be in business very long because the customers would leave quickly. The old rule applies, one happy customer will tell 10 people while one unhappy customer will tell 100.

a week i can understand, thats really not too bad. they probly wait until they get 25 orders or a week before shipping a lot. really not a big deal.
so this thread is a great fyi. when ordering items from a company, be prepared to wait.

I ran into a similar issue with Skat-Trak. Due to the slow economy, many companies were forced to lay off excess employees and now cover off many roles with minimal staff just to stay alive. The downside is that customer service can suffer during busy times but on the plus side, companies like Skat-trak and Hydroturf are surviving to be around for many years to come and continue to serve us.

If a week is a wait and that is the biggest thing happening.. OMG my turf took a week to ship...

WTF>.. holy man.. wanna trade lives for a day.. Fruck !

If you need that turf quicker, it may be a good idea to call some of the retailers for Hydroturf.
For my area, Blowsion comes to mind. They got boat loads of turf sitting in their shop, and they have always shipped my order the same day.
