Diff in throttle cables

What is the difference between a round and square throttle cables? I have a square cable on my round nose and it works fine but its lookin kinda shabby and a round cable is considerably more than the square. So is the round cable thicker since it was designed for two carbs or what?

The SN cable is longer.
If you want a cheaper, better quality cable, buy yourself a Kawasaki 750SX cable for $30ish.
You'll need an aftermarket finger throttle and you need to modify your throttle cable mounting a bit.

Kawasakis cable jacket ends are larger diameter and the cable itself is shorter because Keihins dont have wrap around drums. You will need to either modify the mounting plate or get a universal drum.

Take off your adapter and you have Kawi threads.

I was looking at the Watcon one and it seems that I could just get the Kawasaki bracket because they used the same carbs and it's set up for the wider cable, so no modifacation would be needed to the bracket.


But I would still need the aftermarket throttle drum? I will be running a UMI throttle.
