Custom/Hybrid Modify Modify Modify

I'm wondering what pro-tech,x-metal,Dasa,etc does to "Modify Carbs" thats the first question, So I tried too Google it but didnt find anything BUT I did find two other mods done on other two stokes that i thought i would ask if anybody else has either heard of or done,

First- Removing part of the underside of the piston too keep the Intake ports open longer, Kinda makes sense when we port (depending on the style of port job) we keep the exhaust port open longer.

Second- Opening up the spark plug or grinding back the electrode for a bigger spark, thus more "instant bang" that one seems kinda hokey poky too me, but when we put in our MSD i believe if gives us a hotter spark.

Properly indexing and "unshrouding" the spark plugs is not hokus pokus. You will gain top end RPM, not a whole lot but noticeable with a good tach. Thing is though, how much time do you spend at WOT ?

On My Wiseco pistons my engine guy shaved up the skirts and added noticable power..

How much were they shaved up? Did it affect your relaibilty? Would it be advised too take off about 3mm myself?

I will have to ask my builder. I know he matches the port some how to get more duration. My ski was reliable as a stock ski last summer. He told me u can only do it on the Wiseco's
