buckle on cover hard to close

'09, Replaced original buckle with billet alum (kawi green) but is very hard to snap down. Seems limited on any adjustments.
Weather is nice in Houston and soon to get out..

even the oem are hard to close.push down on the hood.

Better than loose...it'll work itself in nicely. You can also remove the catch on your hood, and file the holes down a bit if you think it is too tight. This will make it looser.

I find if mine is too hard to close, one of the breather tubes is caught on something.
