Where do you goons mount your remote fuel pump?

I think the pulse line needs to be less than 12 inches and the pump needs to be mounted above the case and not on the engine, is all this correct?

Do I just somehow mount it on the battery box?

Just posting this here so I can find it later.

Where do I mount my fuel pump?

Remote fuel pump mounting locations have a few basic parameters that must be followed. First, never mount these pumps directly on your engine. There will be certain rpm and vibration from the engine that will defeat the fuel pump membrane pumping action and result in zero or reduced fuel delivery from the pump. Second, the pump should be mounted in a location whereas the pulse line length does not exceed 12 inches. Third, the attitude of the pump should be in a vertical position and location as to let any residual fuel/oil that will find its way into the pulse line and/or fuel pump body to return to the crankcase. Do not mount lower than the crankcase fitting.

What about fuel pump pulse lines?

Pulse line length mentioned earlier should be no more than 12 inches in length. The hose construction should be of a reinforced type with a high durometer rating and approved for fuel use. The length and "stiffness" is important to minimize the losses of pulse energy due to excess length or flexing of side walls.

I don't have rear exhaust so I made this bracket to mount above the batterys previous location. Same spot as Keiths just higher.

I have rear exhaust and got a nice carbon plate from Paul (Jr./FU/etc.). It is similar to Freestyleriverrat's, but also has a 90 degree bend to allow mounting via rivets/bolts under the hood gasket, right over the battery. It sticks out far enough to still allow the exhaust hose under it.

sorry the pictures are not too great, bu tthat's all I have. I no longer use the pump, but the bracket is still great for securing fuel lines.

Excellent thread. For those of you mounting to the battery, is your pulse line still coming from the rear cylinder reed area, or did you drill a new hole closer?
