how do i get the shaft out of sj the pump

Check with Haggis.

If you want to remove the shaft from the pump then press or place a peice of hard wood against the splined end and tap it out the other end. Make sure to rest the stator on some wood to alowe the shaft to come through.
The back bearing will come out with the shaft aswell.

Or i suppose you could hold the stator and place a peice of wood on the floor and tap the spline end downwards.
