The proper way to load a Seadoo...

After years of looking for better ways to load and carry my Seadoo around with a half ton pickup, I think I finally found the ultimate solution. It took a little over half an hour to load it the first time but now that it's set up, it shouldn't take more than a minute to unload it again. Did I mention that it can now be done single handed as well?

P.S. This thread could also have been labelled, "The Most Fun you can Possible have with a Seadoo".

Did you take it to the dump?

My dump takes the skis complete..don't even have to cut them up at all.

I was pizzed when I lived out in Florida...cut up about 7 hulls only to find out they could really care a less at the dump. It was hot out when I was cutting them up so I took my shirt off...sweat and fiberglass dust make for one uncomfortable night of sleeping.

And man..its a shame to see that ski cut up. Looks like it was a beautiful one...The Red/Black GSXL's sell like crazy around here. I have had people call from 10+ hours away wanting to buy mine.

I had over $24K into mine and after having it listed for over 6 months as low as $5500 I decided that no one would ever ride my baby except me and parted it out.

Why kill the GSXL? It's a beautiful ride and does not weight much more than an SXR.
Only because it's a "Sea-Doo 951"?
Seriously, people, lighten up.

Who's bashing the GSXL? I needed to get rid of a ski, tried to sell it whole for almost a year at a fraction of what I had into it and finally parted it out. I had the complete hull with title listed for $100 for over 5 months and never received a single inquiry about it. Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do to keep the yard clean.

I know what you mean by that.

I ended up taking a very nice GP1200R hull to the dump just because I couldn't get anyone to even take it for free.

Then months later people bumped up old ads I had made when it was for sale for $400 and they were dying to get it at that price.

I haven taken many Seadoo hulls to the dump..some very nice ones at that. I usually post them up on Craiglist for free, just so I don't have to pay $10 to dump them off. Our landfill is very expensive..but on the plus side they don't care what you take there..as long as it crushes with their front end loader.
