My new Superjet

Hello All,

Thought id share some pictures and info about myself and my new Superjet. I live in Windsor Ontario Canada. I have been riding couches since I was a kid. Last summer I had a Seadoo HX with B pipe Water injection etc. It proved to be quit a headache so I sold it. Last Month I picked up my new ski a 1990 Yamaha Superjet! I really wanted a Round Nose (dont we all) but couldn't find one. This was the next best alternative!
This is my first stand up and Yamaha! I am eagerly awaiting warmer weather! Right now there is about 13 inches of ice on the lake and its a bomby 28 degrees outside! The yare calling for 10 inches of snow today.

The engine compartment is incredibly clean. No dust dirt oil anywhere. Its impressive! The previous owner is a board member here and took excellent care of his skis!

Anyways, Here is my ski! Let me know what you think and what my next steps should be as far as mods go! I am looking at a few waterbox's. I relize they won't give me much of a performance gain, but id be lying if I said I hated the sound of a piped 2 stroke! Let me know what you all think!

Thanks,

Heebs

She will be well cared for! I would never let something this clean get beat up and dirty!

I didn't know you plaid drums Jerry. Iv been playing since I was in the 7th grade!

I know you will take care of it Bro, its to nice not too!
What can I say Ive been known to rock the skins now and again, been playing since I was about 12!

The hood has been modded, it is not a OEM liner! Thats what a PROPERLY done modded hood should look like! All the stock holes were glassed over, the two big holes cut in the back and tubes run through the liner.

Pipe would be killer. I really want to avoid reliability issues though! Yamaha's seem to like pipes a lot better than Seadoos. My HX had a full factory b exhaust and liked to blow top ends! Hopefully the superjet won't with a pipe lol

One day ( maybe next winter) foot hold would be nice too!

Get a pipe Colin, seapoos break down even if they dont have pipes! Yamahas love pipes and once you get one you wont want to ride stock machines ever again.
Get a pipe, come over to my little shop of horrors and we will get you all sorted out, I have all the gaskets and jets already. You bring the crown and your shop rate is covered!:Banane35:
